It began in a village, with a curiosity about electricity<\/h2>\n

I was born in 1963 in the village of Hac\u0131l\u0131, in the Mustafakemalpa\u015fa district of Bursa. I am an electrical technician; however, before reaching this point, I grew up under difficult conditions, working as a shepherd and farmer in the village. My entry into the industry actually began with a small spark: Electricity came to our village in the 1970s. My uncle\u2019s children were installing the village\u2019s electrical wiring. I was absolutely captivated by electricity there; I said to myself, \u2019I need to understand electricity, I need to learn about it,\u201c and a serious desire was ignited within me.<\/p>\n

I started my apprenticeship working alongside my uncle\u2019s sons. After going through the stages of apprenticeship, journeyman, and master craftsman, by the time I returned from military service, I had gained enough experience to run my own business. I carried out construction projects for a resort village and a five-star hotel in Antalya. I developed into a technical professional who works on-site and personally uses what I produce.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

\u201cI started with three products in 60 square meters\u201d<\/h2>\n

I came to Bursa when I was 25. While walking along Gazc\u0131lar Street\u2014an area with a high concentration of electricians in Bursa\u2014to sell the supplies I had, I met a business owner who told me, \u201cWe don\u2019t need supplies; we need a technician like you\u2014someone qualified.\u201d \u201cWhere will I be working?\u201d I asked. \u201cWe have our own production facility,\u201d he replied. We went there, took a look, and toured the production area. Eventually, I started working as the lab supervisor. That\u2019s basically how I got my start in the manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n

After a while, I had some disagreements with my boss and left the company. Having come from a contracting background and having learned the production stages firsthand, I possessed the necessary knowledge. Relying on my experience and our savings, I decided to start production in the same industry. I analyzed the market and identified a product that was in demand but which my former boss had not produced with three types of products<\/strong>, I started out in a space of just 60 square meters. That\u2019s how my entrepreneurial journey began.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

I put everything I had on the line<\/h2>\n

To produce these three products, I put everything I had on the line\u2014my money, my land, even my wife\u2019s bracelets; in short, everything I owned. Because there was customer demand for these products, and someone had to make them. We\u2019ve made it to where we are today thanks to our technical equipment and that same stubborn determination we had from the very beginning. Since I\u2019m someone who has actually used the products I make in the field, I knew very well what worked and what didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

How did the name BEM\u0130S come about?<\/h3>\n

Our company was named in 1994 BEMIS<\/strong> I came up with it\u2014it stands for \u201cBursa Electrical Materials Manufacturing Industry.\u201d We also designed our logo as an octagonal Seljuk motif. Today, BEM\u0130S operates in the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone (Bursa OSB)\u2014Turkey\u2019s first organized industrial zone\u2014in a 16,000-square-meter facility, exporting over 8,000 different products to more than 80 countries. With nearly 150 employees, we are the industry leader in Turkey and rank among the top 20 manufacturers worldwide.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
